# How to encrypt files

## Step 1: Access the Files

### Encrypting Files in OneDrive/Sharepoint <a href="#encryptingdecrypting-files-in-onedrive" id="encryptingdecrypting-files-in-onedrive"></a>

Navigate to the desired files, right-click, and select:\
**FenixPyre > Encrypt**

## Step 2: Encryption Progress

A new browser window will open, displaying a progress meter. Once the encryption is complete, a confirmation message will appear indicating your data is secured.

*These actions can be repeated to encrypt files as necessary*

## Additional Notes

* There is a limit of **500 files** that can be encrypted or decrypted at one time.
* Only file extensions specified in the user’s designated role can be encrypted.
* To encrypt an entire folder, use the **Auto-Encryption** feature.
