What's new in Share Settings?
Share Settings UI Update
We've completely redesigned the Share Settings interface to make it more intuitive, organized, and easier to use. Here's what's new:
What's New
🎯 Multi-Page Navigation
Old Experience: All settings were displayed on a single, scrollable page, which could feel cluttered when managing multiple settings.
New Experience: Settings are now organized across dedicated pages, making it easier to focus on one task at a time:
Main Page: Access level selection and quick actions
Users Page: Manage who has access with advanced filtering
Invitation Page: Add new users with a streamlined interface
Advanced Settings Page: Configure link expiry and download permissions
Each page slides smoothly into view, providing a cleaner, more organized experience.
📻 Access Level Selection Redesign
Old Experience: Access levels were selected through a dropdown menu, requiring clicks to see available options.
New Experience: Access levels (Public, Organization, Restricted Access) are now displayed as radio button cards that you can see at a glance. Each card shows:
An icon representing the access type
A clear title and description
Permission type selector (Viewer/Editor) that appears when selected
For Restricted Access, a "Manage Access" button to view the user list
This makes it immediately clear what options are available and what's currently selected.

💾 Auto-Save Feature
Old Experience: You had to click a "Save" button at the bottom to apply your changes. If you forgot to save, your changes would be lost.
New Experience: All changes are automatically saved after a brief delay (1 second). You'll see:
A loading strip at the bottom of the modal while saving
A success notification when settings are saved
No need to remember to click "Save"
This ensures your changes are always preserved and reduces the risk of losing your work.
👥 Enhanced User Management (Restricted Access)
Old Experience: Users with access were displayed in a scrollable list on the main page, mixed with all other settings.
New Experience: User management now has its own dedicated page with powerful features:
Filter Tabs
Three tabs to quickly find specific users:
All: View everyone with access
Editors: See only users who can edit (plus the owner)
Viewers: See only users with view-only access
Enhanced Search
Click the search icon to expand a search bar
Search users by email address in real-time
Works across all filter tabs
Press Escape or click outside to close
Streamlined Actions
Add Users button in the footer to invite new people
Hover over users to reveal a remove button
Select multiple users to remove them in bulk
Clear visual indicators showing who's selected

🔒 Advanced Settings Slider
Old Experience: Advanced settings appeared at the bottom of the same page when you clicked "Show advanced settings," pushing all content down.
New Experience: Advanced settings now open in a separate slider page that slides in from the right. This provides:
More space to focus on advanced options
Clear visual separation from basic settings
A back button (←) to return to the main page
Dedicated sections for Link Expiry and Allow Decrypted Download

📧 Streamlined Email Input (Restricted Access)
Old Experience: Adding users to restricted access was done through a separate section on the main page.
New Experience: When you select Restricted Access, an email input field appears at the top of the main page:
Type or paste email addresses to search for users
Select users from the dropdown results
The invitation page automatically opens when you add an email
Seamless flow from selection to invitation

🎨 Improved Footer Actions
Old Experience: The footer had a "Show/Hide advanced settings" toggle and a "Save" button, with an optional "Disable link" button.
New Experience: The footer now adapts based on which page you're on:
Main Page Footer
Settings button: Opens advanced settings
Enable Link / Disable Link button: Toggle link status with clear visual feedback
Copy Link button: Quick access to copy your share link
Other Pages
Users Page: Shows "Add Users" button
Invitation Page: Shows "Send Invite" button
Advanced Settings Page: Clean footer with just a back button context
This contextual design ensures you always see the most relevant actions for your current task.
⚠️ Better Status Warnings
Old Experience: Link status issues weren't always prominently displayed.
New Experience: If your link is disabled or expired, a warning banner appears above the footer with:
Clear messaging about the issue
For expired links: "The link has expired. Please update the expiry date to keep using the link."
For disabled links: "The link is disabled. Please enable it to keep using the link."
Clickable text to quickly navigate to the fix

📝 Enhanced Invitation Page
Old Experience: Adding users had limited feedback and validation.
New Experience: The invitation page now includes:
Real-Time Email Validation
Valid emails: Added successfully with no errors
Invalid format: Shows "This is not a valid email address"
Domain restrictions: Alerts you if the email domain isn't allowed
Already added: Shows if the user already has access
Visual highlighting with tooltips on hover for errors
Optional Invitation Message
Add a personal message (up to 200 characters)
Character counter with visual feedback (orange at 80%, red at limit)
Note: Not available for CMMC connectors
Improved Flow
After sending invites, you're automatically taken to the Users page
