# How to create new files from a FenixPyre shared link

**Step 1: Open the Shared Link**

* Access the shared link in your browser.

**Step 2: Navigate to the Desired Location**

* Go to the folder or location within the shared link where you want to create the new file.

**Step 3: Click the Create Button**

* If you have **edit access**, you will see a **Create** button among the top-right action buttons.
* Click the **Create** button to begin the process.

**Step 4: Specify File Details**

* A dropdown will appear asking for the **file type** (document, spreadsheet, or presentation)

* On selecting file type, a modal will appear asking for **file name**.

* Enter the required details.

**Step 5: Create the File**

* Click **Create** to generate the new file.
* The new file of the specified type and name will open in a new tab for editing.
